There are currently 7 different campgrounds near Panama City Beach that allow for easy access to beach.  Some campgrounds offer you the chance to do a number of water sports on site like the St Andrews Recreation area and others have more standard amenities like cable tv access and kitchen areas.  Plus, some campgrounds offer weekly activities like barbecues and movie nights or activities on the grounds for horseshoes, playgrounds, volleyball courts, and shuffleboard.  Nature enthusiasts will also be glad to know that thre are a number of nature trails to choose from.  In fact, Gayle’s trails has 25 miles of paved trails.   Finally, most locations are open year round and accept most major credit cards. 

Regardless of your final choice of campgrounds, they all are within walking distance to the beach and afford the opportunity to take in all the other sites and attractions at a fraction of the cost of hotel and condo rentals.  Therefore, if you don’t mind roughing it a little bit, we think you will find all the campgrounds to offer top quality service and a friendly staff.
