Panama
City Beach Vacation Tips #1: What To Not Forget When Going
To Panama City
Beach
With all the
excitement of going on a trip to Panama City Beach, it is
easy to forget the essentials. These are the items that can
be a little harder to find in a pinch and help make all
beach vacations go much smoother. Check out our list of
items all PCB vacationers will want to have on their
list:
1.
Sunscreen. Many vacationers have been
fooled into thinking the temperate weather cannot give you a
good burn.
Don’t be one of them and be sure the SPF is at least
15+.
2. Buy quality sandals or
swim shoes.
Don’t go cheap here. Get some that can work in
and out of the water and can take a pounding. I recommend ones with a
strap for the back heel as they provide more support and
allow you to walk on all surfaces.
3. Big Cotton Beach
Towels.
Bring extra towels for the beach only. As you will be doing
plenty of showering, you will be glad you
did. Big
beach towels are great for allowing you to drape them
over a beach chair, lying out in the sand or toweling off
after a swim.
4. Cooler.
Do not be
overly concerned with quality here. We are looking for a basic
durable structure that can keep your drinks and food
cool. Wheels
are not very useful because of the big beaches so always
pack the cooler light and you should do just
fine.
5. Waterproof
Camera. Do
not take the fancy digital camera or photo camera to the
beach unless it is waterproof. The risk is too great and
since the quality of disposable cameras has improved, it is
a great idea to purchase a few throwaway cameras.
6. Waterproof
Wallet. Do
not force someone to be the chaperon for your hotel key,
wallet, and keys. Purchase a waterproof
wallet that can hold these items and use it during your
trip. It will
help protect you against theft and allow everyone to
participate in the swim or other beach
activities.
7. Rent Beach
Equipment. It makes a lot more sense
to rent a beach chair, umbrella, swimming aids and other
beach accessories than to bring them with
you. Besides
the additional cargo these would take up, the convenience
of being able to pick up equipment right on the beach is
the sensible choice. With prices being very
reasonable, do yourself a favor and rent rather than
haul.
8. Bring some paperbacks,
newspapers, and magazines. Panama City Beaches give
you plenty of room to sit back and get in some quality
reading. Be
sure to allocate some time to unwind and enjoy this simple
pleasure. With
soft beaches and a beautiful ambience, you will be glad you
did.
9. Purchase a good pair of
sunglasses.
These will help protect your eyes against the sun and light
change from going into darkened hotel rooms, restaurants and
other establishments. Make sure they are durable
so as not to break if you accidentally sat on them and also
that they are waterproof.
Equipped with
this information, you are sure to increase your time at the
beach actually enjoying the beaches and
activities. As
any beach vacationer will tell you, the last thing you want
to do is be stuck in a grocery store line when you could be
enjoying the summer breeze.
